Who is the New American League MVP With Aaron Judge Out of Contention? Bobby Witt Jr and Yordan Alvarez Dead Heat
  • Aaron Judge was diagnosed with a stress fracture and will be out an extended period of time

  • Bobby Witt Jr. is the slightest of favorites to win the American League MVP title at 7/5 with Yordan Alvarez listed at 7/4

New York Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge is expected to return this season after being diagnosed with a stress fracture of the first rib on his right side.

This will almost certainly end his consecutive MVP win streak at two, barring a miracle.  Sure he can return a little earlier than expected, hit a home run every single time at bat and wind up being named AL MVP again this season.  You can also get struck by lightning twice in any given year and survive.  Possible, yes....probable, no

He's not even going to be re-evaluated for another four to six weeks.

Just brutal news for anyone holding Judge MVP futures.  Yankees fans will be saying a little prayer as well.

Bobby Witt Jr. is the slightest of favorites to win the American League MVP title at 7/5 with Yordan Alvarez listed at 7/4. Both MLB stars are well outpacing the next closest player on the list.

In the National League, Shohei Ohtani is a massive favorite to win his fourth straight MVP award including his third straight National League MVP.

His hitting has picked up immensely the last two weeks and his pitching has been elite all season long.
