World Cup

World Cup Will Be Biggest Betting Event in American History

Thursday June 11, 2026 (12:01 pm EDT)

With the 2026 FIFA World Cup kicking off across the United States, Canada and Mexico, industry analysts estimate that as much as $4.4 billion will be wagered on the tournament in the U.S. alone. That figure represents more than double the handle of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.  To put that in perspective, approximately $1.7 billion was wagered on Super Bowl LX earlier this year, and March Madness drew an estimated $3 billion in bets. The World Cup, spread across six weeks and 104 matches, is poised to dwarf both of those totals.

Iran Conflict

Iran Permanent Peace Agreement By July 31, Traders Still Bullish

Thursday June 11, 2026 (8:48 am EDT)

57% of traders at Polymarket believe a permanent peace agreement will be entered into between the US and Iran by July 31 as attacks continued into the morning hours Thursday.  U.S. President Donald Trump says the United States will be hitting Iran “very hard” tonight, adding that Washington will take over Iran’s Kharg island and other oil infrastructure points.  Iran’s foreign ministry condemns the US strikes on the country, saying that it has rendered the ceasefire “practically meaningless”. Earlier the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) launched retaliatory strikes on US forces in the region, including Kuwait, Bahrain, and Jordan, according to Iranian news reports.

NBA Finals

Knicks Complete Record Rally From 29 Points Down and Beat Spurs 107-106 for 3-1 NBA Finals Lead

Thursday June 11, 2026 (8:48 am EDT)

The Knicks came from 29 points down and moved to the brink of their first championship since 1973 by beating the San Antonio Spurs 107-106 in Game 4 of the finals on OG Anunoby’s tip-in with 1.2 seconds remaining.  “That has to be the most iconic shot in the history of New York basketball,” Knicks coach Mike Brown said.  It looked impossible early, when the Spurs rolled to a 27-point halftime lead.  The Knicks, who have just two titles in their 80-year history and hadn’t even been to the NBA Finals since 1999, have a 3-1 lead and three chances to win the best-of-seven series — starting with Game 5 on Saturday night in San Antonio.  Gambling911.com has all your NBA betting action, updated odds and props for Game 5 here
