These Bad Moms Banned for Life at Pennsylvania Casinos: Bad Dad Too
  • Of the 18 banned individuals, four were accused of leaving children unattended in vehicles while they gambled inside

  • One of the more shocking cases occurred back in April when a New Jersey mom left her two-year-old for approximately two hours in a scorching hot car

18 more people have been banned from playing at Pennsylvania casinos, both land-based and online.

Four were banned for leaving children under the age of 13 unattended in their vehicles while gambling for nearly an hour or more.

In one case, a woman left her two children, ages 8 and 13, in a vehicle parked outside the Valley Forge Casino while she gambled inside for 52 minutes.

A man was also banned for leaving a 12-year-old in a vehicle unattended at Hollywood Casino York’s parking lot for 30 minutes while he gambled at slot machines.  His relationship to the boy was not immediately known.

In yet another case, a woman left her three kids, ages 8, 9 and 13, in a hotel room at Mount Airy Casino Resort for 1 hour and 48 minutes while she played table games.

But leaving kids in an air conditioned hotel room for two hours might pale in comparison to the woman who left a 10-year-old in a vehicle in the parking lot of Live! Casino Philadelphia for 3 hours 8 minutes while she gambled at the slot machines.  The conditions outside were not immediately known.

Few stories are as shocking as what Gambling911.com reported back in April at the Parx Casino in Bensalem Pennsylvania.

Police received a report of a child who appeared to be younger than 2 years old locked alone inside a vehicle in the Parx parking lot, according to a probable cause affidavit.

The sleeping child was secured in a rear car seat and appeared to be covered in sweat, the affidavit mentioned.

Emergency workers called to the scene reported the child who was “very hot,” covered in sweat and wearing a soiled diaper, the affidavit said. Temperatures outside were unusually hot for an April evening, still in the low 80's.  Temperatures inside a vehicle can rise 20 degrees in as little as 10 minutes, and 50 degrees in an hour.  An officer used a lockout kit to open the car The child was taken to a local hospital for further medical evaluation.

Other officers attempted to identify the vehicle operator. Inside the casino police found the car's owner, Leola Dualuqua, 37, of Willingboro, New Jersey still gambling, the affidavit said.

Surveillance video showed Dualuqua leave her vehicle just before 6:30 pm, approximately two hours prior to the child being rescued.

Dualuqua was taken into custody and charged with endangering the welfare of a child and leaving a child in an unattended motor vehicle, according to police.

She was arraigned by District Justice Corryn Kronnagel and remanded to the Bucks County Correctional Facility on 10% of $25,000 bail.

The child was released to his father.

Dualuqua was placed on the PA list of banned individuals immediately following the incident.
