Lionel Messi pays out $430 for every $100 bet to score the first goal in the FIFA World Cup 2026 final versus Spain.  He pays $150 to score an anytime goal

On 27 June, Messi scored his 19th career World Cup goal during a 3–1 win against Jordan in the group stage, becoming the first player to score in seven consecutive World Cup matches.

During the knockout stage of the tournament, Messi scored a goal against Cape Verde and another against Egypt. Argentina won both matches 3–2, and Messi's career tally of World Cup goals increased to 21.

In the quarter-final against Switzerland, he provided an assist as Argentina won 3–1 after extra time.

In the semi-final, Messi recorded two assists as Argentina came from behind to defeat England 2–1 in injury time and advance to the final.
