Orioles vs. Red Sox Betting Preview July 22, 2026 (Doubleheader)
  • The Orioles and Red Sox play a doubleheader after yesterday's game got rained out.

  • Boston is looking to shatter a franchise record in the first game as a -162 favorite and hoping for a 15th consecutive win, something that's never happened before in Red Sox history.

  • The Red Sox currently pay out $2200 for every $100 bet to win this year's World Series.

OAKLAND PARK, Fla (Gambling911.com) - The early afternoon Orioles vs. Red Sox game was generating plenty of betting action for a reason as Boston looks to go 15 straight and shatter a franchise record.  The turnaround is like none we've ever seen perhaps.  Tuesday's game of this series was postponed.

The teams will play a doubleheader Wednesday, with games scheduled for 1:35 p.m. and 7:10 p.m. EDT.

“It is what it is,” Red Sox interim manager Chad Tracy said. “Tough airline travel can be disappointing. All the different things we’ve gone through. Yeah, you want to go out there and play, but, at the same time, if it looks like it’s going to rain all night off and on, and you don’t even know if there’s a window to play … wet field conditions and things like that, it doesn’t make a ton of sense.”

Game One has Dean Kremer  vs Jake Bennett and a line of -162 Boston.

More than $2.4 million had been wagered on this game just over an hour before it was set to start at one sportsbook.

On July 2nd, the Red Sox were dead in the water at 11 games under .500, holding +600 odds (14.3% implied probability) to make the playoffs at BetOnline Sports & Casino.

Fourteen consecutive wins later, they are sitting at -180 (64.3% implied probability). A 50% swing in postseason probability in the span of 14 games is an absolutely unprecedented mid-season turnaround.
