LeBron James is not returning home or back to South Beach.
He’s headed to Philadelphia in an effort to bring the Sixers their first NBA Title since 1983! The Knicks just got a title monkey off of their backs…perhaps LeBron is the piece Philly needs to do the same.
James is signing a two-year, $8 million contract with a player option, Klutch Sports Group CEO Rich Paul told ESPN's Shams Charania. James made nearly $53 million with the Los Angeles Lakers last season.
In a series of posts on X, James addressed his decision making, writing that he initially thought he was done playing after the 2025-26 season before taking time to decide on his future.
"I was honest at that last press conference when I said I needed to look at myself and deicide if I still love this game," he wrote.
The payout odds were 5-1 for James to be going to the 76ers.
