When and Where Can I Stream New Netflix Documentary About Prediction Markets: The Prediction Games
  • Netflix added the new documentary to its platform early Sunday.

  • “The clip misleadingly indicates that the individual is trading sports event contracts while located in Nevada, despite the court order prohibiting such activity,” Dedaj wrote in his letter to Netflix in reference to the teaser released on Thursday.

  • "Prediction markets are a deceptively sophisticated idea, with roots far back in American history. But the allure of easy money can carry real risk," Netflix wrote in its synopsis of the documentary.

OAKLAND PARK, Fla (Gambling911.com) - The wait if over, even if we've all only been waiting about 48 hours after learning of a new Netflix documentary.

The streaming service announced Thursday it would be releasing a new Instadoc feature about the explosive prediction market industry.

Their teaser prompted the world's leading prediction market, Kalshi, to threaten legal action based on what it considered a "misleading" representation

Netflix says the concept of its Instadoc series is to produce documentaries that "move at the speed of the story" and release them while public interest is at its peak. The series launched only in May 2026, and The Prediction Games is its second installment.

The trailer depicts influencers watching the World Cup final in a Las Vegas mansion and discussing their bets on prediction sites like Kalshi.  Interestingly enough, Kalshi's sports-related contracts are blocked in the state of Nevada.

At one point, one of the influencers holds up his phone to display a receipt from a sports event contract with Kalshi and says that he “put $5,000 on Spain to win the whole thing,” referring to the tournament’s final match.  A Netflix spokesperson stated that the bet was placed in May 2025, prior to the court order.

“The clip misleadingly indicates that the individual is trading sports event contracts while located in Nevada, despite the court order prohibiting such activity,” Dedaj wrote in his letter to Netflix. “However, upon close inspection, the displayed receipt in the Netflix trailer appears to have been entirely fabricated.”

Netflix offered the new documentary for streaming here.   Gambling911.com found the documentary difficult to find otherwise without the direct link, at least during the early morning hours Sunday.

From Netflix:

"Instadocs: The Prediction Games drops viewers into the red-hot center of betting fever, where millions are wagering they can predict the future and win big — fast. The installment features interviews with those who own the game, including Polymarket CEO Shayne Coplan and Kalshi CEO Tarek Mansour, as well as regulator Michael Selig, head of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission.

"Prediction markets are a deceptively sophisticated idea, with roots far back in American history. But the allure of easy money can carry real risk: when bettors harass war reporters to publish fake news and hackers manufacture Spotify streams to win millions, has reality itself become a target for manipulation? Has the wisdom of crowds turned into mob rule?"
