There is some bad news if you're a baseball fan or a gambler as a potential lockout looms for the 2027 Major League Baseball season. The only glimmer of good news is that you can now bet on whether there will be a lockout, courtesy of our friends at BetOnline.
The Athletic's Ken Rosenthal reported that MLB is likely headed toward a lockout after the 2026 season.
"The hysteria is coming. The lockout is coming," Rosenthal stated. "And amid all the noise, something important will be obscured. The Dodgers are good at this. Better than everyone else."
The last MLB lockout occurred before the 2022 season. While no games were canceled, Opening Day was pushed back to April 7 that year. It sounds like things are more dire this time around.
