OAKLAND PARK, Fla (Gambling911.com) - It looks like Mohamed Salah is headed to Turkey after all, just not with the club reports had him linked to last month.

The Turkish press had reported that Club Besiktas was set to sign the football star but that deal ultimately fell through.
Now comes word that Salah will be playing with another Turkish club, Trabzonspor on a free transfer after reaching a mutual agreement with Liverpool to terminate his contract one year before its scheduled expiry. Prior to this news, Trabzonspor was listed with 14-1 odds of winning the 2026-27 Turkish Süper Lig for a payout potential of $1400 on every $100 bet. Bookmakers have since shortened their odds to around 11-1.
Last week, Saudi Pro League side Al Ittihad resumed work on a deal for Salah.
Al Ittihad had offered £150 million ($200 million) for Salah's services rejected by the Premier League club in September 2023. The club continues looking for a marquee star to lead the team following Karim Benzema's move to Al Hilal in February.
Any Turkish Club, including Trabzonspor, was still favored to land Salah at 6/4 odds after the Besiktas fell through.
Salah departs as one of the most decorated and productive players in the club’s history. During his nine years at Liverpool, he helped the team win seven major trophies and established himself among Anfield’s most influential forwards.
