Fugitive Sports Betting Influencer Vegas Dave Could Be Extradited From Bora Bora

A flashy sports betting influencer — known for his Birkin bag collections and mansions — was slapped with an arrest warrant from Las Vegas judge Joe Hardy Thursday after he no-showed a civil court proceeding, according to court records. This story continues to have legs as "Vegas Dave" Oancea may have left the country. was hit with a $30.2 million judgment in 2025 after litigation involving Cabo Platinum. The underlying dispute included allegations that Oancea interfered with or canceled confirmed vacation-rental bookings involving his properties and made damaging statements about the company. Oancea appealed the judgment. The situation subsequently became a fight over collecting the judgment and Oancea's compliance with court orders. Thursday's no show now includes a strong likelihood that Oancea will serve time in addition to having to pay back millions of dollars.
