SAN ANTONIO, Tex (Gambling911.com) - Football is king in Texas. We won't pretend to suggest another sport reigns superior despite every major league having one or more teams in the Lone Star State.

In San Antonio, the situation is somewhat different.
The 7th most populated city in the U.S. does have a beloved and successful NBA team. The Spurs are coming off an NBA Finals loss to the Knicks this year.
And this summer as we enter the college football season, those in San Antonio have another team to root for.
Boerne Little League, representing the Southwest Region after competing as Texas West, come into this year's LLWS as favorites to win it all.
BetOnline has the team paying out $250 for every $100 bet.
Just how big has the Little League World Series gotten for the sportsbooks that offer betting on it?
After handle (total money wagered) doubled from 2024 to 2025, BetOnline projects record-breaking LLBWS volume again this year. Player props and game lines will be available in the coming days.
Gambling911.com can attest to just how massive LLWS betting was in 2025. Coverage shattered all types of records. Not that we were planning to retire ahead of the football season, but we probably could have.
To protect tournament integrity, BetOnline strictly limits maximum wager sizes.
“We recognize gambling isn’t for everyone, and throughout our 25-year history, we’ve prioritized responsible gaming,” BetOnline Brand Manager Dave Mason said. “We’re not forcing anyone to bet, and our platform is strictly for adults who choose to participate.”
And while harassment of college student athletes (not to mention pros) over lost bets has resulted in adults being banned from games, harassment of child athletes could result in more severe punishment (i.e. prison).
