The Cleveland Browns head into Week 3 with a 0-2 record after being listed as a favorite to win the AFC North over the Pittsburgh Steelers heading into the 2008 regular NFL season. Pittsburgh is now 2-0. And the online bookies are somewhat lucky. That's because there was a lot riding on a Cleveland Browns cover, primarily to win back the heavy losses felt earlier in the day.

Both the Green Bay Packers and Indianapolis wins Sunday afternoon left the bookmakers shell shocked. Only a Washington Redskins upset of the New Orleans Saints helped to sooth the pain somewhat. The Buffalo Bills and New York Giants wins didn't exactly help either.

"This was probably going to be the most bet on game of the day," expressed Don Shapiro of Gambling911.com. "Pittsburgh failed to cover the 6 ½ points, winning by only 4."

As a result, the bookmakers made out big. More than 90 percent of the action was going the Steelers way. Gambling911.com correctly predicted that the Browns would be able to cover just under the set line of -6 ½.

For us, wins by Tampa Bay, Arizona and San Francisco came as unexpected as we believed their respective opponents would be able to cover. Gambling911 had correctly predicted that New England and Denver would not only cover, but would win their afternoon games. The books action was mostly balanced during the second half of the afternoon.   G911 enjoyed much success earlier in the day though Kansas City and Jacksonville failed to cover.

Remember, Sportsbook.com was offering 5 percent back on losses to anyone who joins by Monday (September 15, 2008).
