Davison was easily Oregon's most productive runner in the 34-27 win over Boise State. He carried 12 times for 90 yards and 1 touchdown, averaging an excellent 7.5 yards per carry, with a long run of 40 yards. His touchdown was a 1-yard run early in the second quarter. He also had one reception for zero yards.
Nevertheless, it was a slow start for the Ducks and Boise State did manage a cover.
Davison spoke to the media on Tuesday about where the backfield is looking to improve in Week 2 and the different challenge that Oklahoma State poses from when they played a season ago.
“I feel like we did a good job. Could have been better. Just hearing more voices and staying more positive, especially, I feel like I could have been a bigger voice on the sideline, just a bigger motivator.”
Hill received almost as much rushing work as Davison but wasn't nearly as productive: 10 carries for 36 yards, 3.6 yards per carry, with a long of 10 and no touchdowns.
