The Aggies are a -14.5 today against the Sun Devils.
Boley was phenomenal in his Arizona State debut, a 70-7 win over Morgan State. He went 21 of 27 (77.8%) for 387 yards, 6 TDs and zero interceptions—an extraordinary 14.3 yards per attempt. He produced those numbers despite being pulled after Arizona State's first drive of the third quarter.
Boley's 387 passing yards set an Arizona State record for a QB making his debut, and the six TD passes tied for the second-most in a game in program history. He was subsequently named Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week.
One has to question why the line on this game is as high as -14.5 under these circumstances. Granted, Morgan State is no Texas A&M.
In the Aggies' 50-0 win over Missouri State, Reed completed 21 of 30 passes (70%) for 233 yards, 2 TDs and no interceptions. He also rushed 7 times for 20 yards. His TD passes went to Isaiah Horton and Mario Craver. With A&M ahead 40-0, Reed was taken out early in the fourth quarter, so the blowout limited his opportunity to accumulate bigger numbers.
