OAKLAND PARK, Fla (Gambling911.com) - Gambling network VSiN has opted not to renew the contract of The Baseball Betting Show's host Greg Peterson following this season. The current regular season ends in approximately two weeks.
Peterson is often referred to as "Hoops" as he also covers basketball handicapping.
His specialty is extremely high-volume handicapping. During college basketball and MLB seasons, Peterson creates daily spreadsheets covering every game, including his own projected lines. His basic philosophy is essentially that bettors shouldn't be betting teams—they should be betting numbers and looking for discrepancies between their projected number and the sportsbook's line.
Peterson will no longer be hosting Coast to Coast Hoops for VSiN this upcoming basketball season.
And it's not just him. VSiN has also cut ties with Tyler Shoemaker, who announced he'll be ending his relationship with the gambling network.
"I am officially a free agent. Huge thank you to VSiN for having me contribute for the last 3 years. It’s been a great experience and I’ve made some amazing friends out of it, but I have been officially let go."
Peterson announced his upcoming departure from the network via his Twitter feed.

This isn’t the tweet I wanted to send but I guess life is always full of change. I was informed over the weekend that effective at the end of the MLB regular season (two weeks from now) my contract with VSIN will not be renewed. I moved to Vegas in June of 2017 for the a role as an associate producer and had nearly 10 great years with the company.
This means I’m now going to be in search of a new home. I personally own my podcast feeds so for all that subscribe to Coast To Coast Hoops and The Baseball Betting show, while I’ll be looking for a new home and any sponsors that might want to be apart of this journey, my commitment to making sure you get a fresh episode at Midnight PT, 3 AM Eastern.
I can list off all the great/awful calls, stretches, and shows I’ve done, the one thing I’ll say for myself above all else is I can hold my head high knowing I put out a product every day.
The Coast To Coast Hoops podcast I do just recently reached over 2,500 straight days without a missed podcast and I will not let that streak die as long as I have a pulse and a heart beat. While impressions, win/loss record, etc is nice, that’s what I’m by far proudest of and that’s the biggest piece of my resume. I’m committed to always giving everyone, networks and subscribers my absolute everything every day and it’s been an honor to do so for such a great company for so long, and I’m grateful for both the opportunity I’ve had and the friends I’ve made along the way.
My write ups are in need of a platform so I’ll be looking to sort that out once the MLB regular season end 13 days from now, but I’ll be sure to keep pumping out the handicaps and all you guys have come to now from me.
I appreciate you all, I’m not sure what tomorrow brings or will yield, but nobody does. What o know is that I have today and I’ll continue to make the most of every day I get.
