The team at BetOnline Sports & Casino, which just released a series of Kiffin-related prop bets for this game, have created an infomap that reflects geotagged X data about which states are rooting for which team in the LSU-Ole Miss game.
The data sampling comes from the past two weeks, and it tracked tweets, hashtags and direct keyword phrases about who fans in the U.S. are pulling for in Kiffin's homecoming.
For example, tweets containing phrases and hashtags such as "Kiffin is going down in Oxford," "Ole Miss better upset LSU," “We're all rooting against Kiffin,” "#OleMissFB exacts revenge this week" etc. were used to compile the data.
More than 1 million tweets were collected and geo-analyzed in the study.
As you can see from the map, there's only a single state rooting for the Tigers. Of course, that state is Louisiana.
