Pittsburgh vs. Virginia Tech Touchdown Scorer Prop Bets: Jeffrey Overton Jr., Ja'Kyrian Turner, Marcellous Hawkins

OAKLAND PARK, Fla. - (Gambling911.com) - Touchdown scorer prop bets are available for Friday's Pittsburgh vs. Virginia Tech game.

Players to Watch

Jeffrey Overton Jr, priced at -165 to score an anytime touchdown in Friday night's game, has been excellent so far this seaon, averaging 6.8 yards per carry and more than 100 rushing yards per game.

Overton Jr. enters Friday night's showdown having scored five touchdowns through four games, including three over his last two, while rushing for 409 yards at an eye-popping 6.8 yards per carry.

His four games:

vs. VMI: 9 carries, 104 yards, 2 TD
vs. Old Dominion: 14 carries, 47 yards, 0 TD
at Maryland: 12 carries, 49 yards, 1 rushing TD; 3 catches, 63 yards, 1 receiving TD
at Boston College: 25 carries, 209 yards, 1 TD

That last game was his breakout. He ripped off a 76-yard touchdown with under five minutes remaining to give Virginia Tech the lead in its 21-14 win.

Ja'Kyrian Turner has played only one game because of injury.

Against Miami (Ohio) on September 5:

11 carries — 39 yards
4 receptions — 69 yards
1 receiving TD
108 yards from scrimmage

Marcellous Hawkins Jr. pays $145 for every $100 bet to score a touchdown in this game.

His standout performance came against VMI, when he ran for 69 yards and three touchdowns. Interestingly, Overton ran for 104 yards and two scores in the same game, illustrating how Virginia Tech is willing to use both backs.

Since then, however, Overton has clearly emerged as the hotter and more prominent option, culminating in those 25 carries for 209 yards at Boston College. Hawkins remains part of the rotation, which explains why his TD price is much longer at +1000.
