Odds Continue to Tighten in Texas Senate Race: Ken Paxton Payout Odds $150

AUSTIN, Texas (Gambling911.com) - Texas Attorney General and Republican candidate for senate, Ken Paxton, continues to gain some ground, both in the odds and polls.

Paxton has gone from promising a $160 payout for every $100 bet just a few days ago to paying out $150 in now.  Democrat James Talarico is the -180 favorite.

Despite the consistent leads by Mr. Talarico, there are some signs of the race tightening in the final stretch.

Spending in the race has reached a fever pitch, exceeding $500 million, according to AdImpact.

A Siena Research Institute poll and ReconMR poll on Tuesday, as well as a Marist University poll on Wednesday, each found Talarico ahead, though in the Marist poll the Democrat only held a narrow edge — well within the margin of error.  That one had Tararico up 2 points while the others had the Democrat up 4 points.

In the Siena/Recon poll, he had the support of nearly all Democrats, 60 percent of independents and 7 percent of Republicans.

Midterm Results Odds
