The Boston Celtics will try and put a stranglehold on the NBA betting Eastern Conference Finals as they host the Orlando Magic in Game 3 on Saturday.  The Celtics won the first two games in Orlando and now they return home where they could win the NBA playoffs betting series if they take the next two games.  That might be easier said than done.  The Magic have traditionally been a good road team and the NBA's ridiculous schedule has had both teams being off for three days in advance of Saturday's game and that could hurt Boston in terms of momentum. "We haven't done anything -- you need four wins; we have two. That's it." Boston head coach Doc Rivers said, "Orlando hasn't had a chance to play in our place. So we have to just keep playing basketball."

Boston is a 3-point favorite with a total of 190 at SBG Global.

Boston had three days off twice in the previous NBA playoffs betting round against Cleveland and lost both times. Boston is 32-0 when winning the first two games of a best-of-seven series and with the three-day break, the Celtics have been hearing about how great they are. "I think [the break] helps everyone, except coaches," Rivers said. "There's only so much we can say ... and there's only so much guys will listen to."

Orlando is a very good team and they are capable of winning in Boston. They have to win Game 3 or this series is realistically over.  "It's not over, it can be done," said Orlando guard Jameer Nelson, "Take it one game at a time, like they came in here and beat us on our home floor. We can do the same."

According to the NBA odds records, Orlando has some things going for them in this game. The Magic are 6-0 ATS in their last 6 road games. The Magic are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 playoff games as an underdog. The Magic are 50-23-1 ATS in their last 74 Saturday games. The Magic are 5-2 ATS in the last 7 meetings in Boston.

The Celtics are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 home games. The Celtics are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 Saturday games.

The Under is 8-3 in Orlando's last 11 games as a road underdog. The Under is 5-1 in the Celtics last 6 Conference Finals games. The Under is 4-0 in the last 4 meetings in Boston between the two teams.

Sixers? Knicks? Who Can Challenge Boston in the East this Season?

As the new NBA season gets underway, there is most certainly a sense that the Boston Celtics are the team to beat once again. The 18-time champions really took an “if it’s not broken, don’t try to fix it” policy in the offseason, and it’s hard to argue with the tactic.
