Annette Obrestad: “Female Poker Players Suck”

In a recent interview with ESPN.com, the 2007 World Series of Poker Europe winner Annette Obrestad seemingly bashed all women poker players.

"It's easy money... I've always said that girls suck at poker. I say that because they do. Maybe they just aren't as competitive and don't try to learn from their mistakes."

During that same interview, Obrestad took a swipe at Doyle Brunson, implying he had an "ego" and could beat him easily. 

Obrestad is the only female to win a World Series of Poker main event to date but surely there are some top female poker players.

Kathy Liebert is the top female poker player in terms of overall winnings in live tournaments to date.  She has won just over $5 million lifetime.  That is more than Obrestad, who has cashed $2.7 mil.  Of course, Obrestad and other women win countless amounts of money playing online poker. 

Other big name women poker players include the likes of Vanessa Rousso, Jennifer Harman, Annie Duke, Clonie Gowen and Liv Boeree, just to name a few.
