One of the latest matches of the World Cup has Chile vs. Honduras and odds that heavily favor Chile.  That country is a -170 favorite while a Honduras win would pay out close to US$50 for every US$10 bet.

Chile, a young, vibrant, aggressive team, is listed at +500 odds to win Group H for a payout potential of US$50 on every US$10 bet.  Unfortunately for them, they are lumped into the same group as the favorites to win the 2010 FIFA World Cup, Spain.

Charles Jay of BetUS.com says of the Chilean side:

"When you look at Chile, you know that you had better be on your toes defensively, because they are coming. This is a team that, unlike some others who lay back into a defensive shell, simply comes out firing. Whether they have the kind of personnel who can do that on this stage, against perhaps the best team in the world (Spain) remains to be seen. Bettors can take part in propositions that involve Chile's total goal output in the World Cup, and it's a little tricky, but they are at 4.5 goals, which is rather high, considering they are not a slam dunk to get to the next round."

The BBC says of Honduras:

"For Honduras, victory is merely being in South Africa. Qualification for their second World Cup finals came when the USA denied Costa Rica with a 94th-minute equaliser, bringing welcome relief to Honduras after months of political turmoil. Nobody fancied them in 1982 either, but they held hosts Spain to a draw in their opening game and also took a point off Northern Ireland."

This is the first competitive match between these two nations.

Chile is getting 75 percent of the backing from the betting public.

The draw would pay out US$26 for every US$10 bet.

This game goes off at 7:30 am EST in the US.
