Spain World Cup 2010 odds to win were coming in at +325 at BetUS.com heading into Wednesday's match against huge underdog Switzerland.  At one point Spain was a near even favorite to win the FIFA World Cup 2010.  Currently they would pay out US$32.50 for every US$10 bet with an outright win.

Spain comes into Wednesday's matchup against Switzerland as a ridiculous -400 odds favorite while the Swiss would pay out US$110 for every US$10 bet with an unlikely win, odds which were nearly as long as North Korea vs. Brazil.  Less than 10 percent of the betting public was on Switzerland and even fewer on the draw that pays around US$40.

Nila Amerova of BetUS.com warns against betting on Switzerland in this game.

"So far with six groups and 12 matches played (at the time of writing), only one match would I consider a true upset and that was Japan beating Cameroon 1:0)."

And Cameroon is no Spain, let's face it.

The draw could prove more enticing, however.

"Swiss fans might fancy the draw, trading at +450 (paying out US$45 for every US$10 bet). Beating Spain is going to be tough but a draw is a reasonable bet at this early stage of the tournament. In fact, the huge price differential of  +650 between a win and draw by Switzerland suggests the latter instead of the former is the more likely outcome.

"Recommending this play is the fact that Swiss are notoriously defensive-minded. Stoic and organized in the back they are one of the hardest defences to break."

Spain has played more World Cup matches than any other nation without actually winning the trophy.
