Uruguay Ghana World Cup odds had Uruguay as the +105 or near even odds favorite to beat Ghana at 2:30 pm EST at betED.com.

Uruguay was getting around 75 percent of the betting action in this game.

Uruguay wins a knockout-stage game for the first time since 1970 and also reaches the quarters for the first time since 1970.  They are one of four South American nations in the semi finals.

Luis Suarez, who had Uruguay's only goal in its 1-0 group stage win over Mexico, scored twice against the Koreans last weekend to send them to the quarter finals vs. Ghana.

"In these moments, the only thing I want to do is enjoy," said Suarez.

Ghana knocked the USA out of contention for the second straight World Cup last weekend.  They had to get the job done in overtime however, winning 2-1.

Ghana is the third African team to reach the quarterfinals, following 1990 Cameroon and 2002 Senegal.
