The suspense is at a fever pitch as oddsmakers at Sportsbetting.com have slashed Lebron James odds of going to the Miami Heat from +200 to -250.

"This is a huge move that makes Miami a co-favorite to land Lebron with Cleveland," says Don Shapiro of Gambling911.com.

ESPN will broadcast an hour long press conference/special at 9 pm EST whereby Lebron will announce his decision.  The airing is likely to bring ESPN some of its highest ratings in recent years. Sales of sponsorship for the program will go to the Boys and Girls Clubs of America.

Betting on Lebron James and which team he will go to has helped fuel a normally slow "off season" for the online bookmakers.

ESPN reported on Thursday morning:

Barring a late change of heart, sources say James has decided to join fellow All-Stars Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh to form a potential NBA powerhouse.

James' family and friends are divided over his decision to play in Miami, according to sources. Opinions range from understanding his desire to play with All-Star teammates, according to ESPN.

Other teams that have had short odds of landing Lebron include the New York Knicks and Chicago Bulls.

Yesterday there was a flurry of excitement surrounding the New York Knicks signing Lebron after Phoenix Sun forward Jared Dudley wrote on this Twitter page that Lebron James was heading to New York.

"Breaking News!!! My sources tell me Lebron will announce that he will be goin to the NY KNICKS tomorrow on ESPN.. This is serious.. WOW!!!!"
