The Cleveland Cavaliers fans are not taking things well Friday upon learning that their star NBA player Lebron James is heading to Miami Heat where he will join the likes of Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh.  The Cleveland Plains Dealer featured a photograph of angry fans burning Lebron's jersey in the street.

"This is the worst day of my life," said John Horn of Amherst, who watched in frozen horror with hundreds of others at a Lakewood bar when LeBron James announced live on ESPN that he was leaving the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Cleveland sports fans are among the most loyal in the nation.  Some are comparing the Lebron move to that of Art Modell's decision to pack up and bring the Browns to Baltimore in the middle of the night back in 1995.

In Lebron's home town of Akron, more than 2,500 baseball fans at Canal Park booed heartily when a photo and message -- "LeBron James is no longer a Cavalier" -- was flashed on the scoreboard.

Lebron James had been listed at 2/1 odds of landing in Miami at Sportsbetting.com prior to Thursday morning.  By Thursday am, Lebron was at 1/3 with news surfacing that the Heat had gained a serious edge.

The Miami Heat were expected to be favorites to win the 2011 NBA Eastern Conference and quite possibly the championship (along with the Los Angeles Lakers) once the free agency picture comes more into light.
