New England Patriots in Trouble: Tom Brady May Not Go To Training Camp
The New England Patriots are at the longest odds of winning a Super Bowl entering the new season in years and things are not looking much better for the team as reports surfaced Friday regarding a Tom Brady rift.
John Clayton of ESPN has suggested that the Pats quarterback may hold out of training camp.
The speculation isn't dissipating, writes Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk.com.
Brady widely is believed to be unhappy with the Patriots; ESPN's Chris Mortensen recently floated the possibility of a short absence by Brady, aimed at making a point to the Pats. So as Comcast launches in the near futures ads in which Brady pitches the cable company's NFL offerings, PFT Daily looks at whether Brady himself could be a major topic of conversation on NFL Network once training camps open.
The Patriots are 12/1 long shots of winning the 2011 Super Bowl at Sportsbetting.com. Better still, the uncertainty surrounding New England has made the AFC East divisional odds more interesting.
The Patriots and Jets are both 5/4 favorites to win the division ($12.50 paid out for every $10 bet or $125 for every $100 bet). The Dolphins pay out 3/1 odds. The Bills pay out 20/1 odds.
