Apparently US President Barack Obama has little time to keep up with pop culture news.

Appearing on The View Thursday morning, Joy Behar asked the president whether Mel Gibson needs anger management, referring to the actor’s recent tirade against his wife caught on voice mail

"I haven't seen a Mel Gibson movie in a while," he said.

"But the tapes!" Joy exclaimed.

"I haven't seen them," Obama replied, quite obviously oblivious.

And when asked if the Jersey Shore reality star Snooki should run as the mayor of Wasilla, Alaska (Sarah Palin’s former seat), Obama replied that he didn’t know who Snooki was.

Obama did seem to be keeping up with the Lindsay Lohan saga, however.

Thursday morning’s The View was expected to receive very high ratings with extensive promotion of the show all week long including on Joy Behar’s HLN primetime program.  Great cross promotion by the way.

While we are on the subject of Snooki, Gambling911.com passed up an opportunity recently to interview the reality star about her weight loss regimen.  Go figure!

….And your latest pop culture and political odds.

Gambling911.com last week reported on the latest Mel Gibson odds of going to jail found at BetUS.com.

Will Mel Gibson serve any jail time?

Obama’s re-election odds were still around even with no other candidate coming close at Sportsbook.com.
