The oddsmakers at Paddy Power, Ireland’s largest online gambling website, predict that pop star sensation Lady Gaga will win between 7 and 9 VMAs next month. The payout would be 6/4 or €6 for every €4 bet.
The controversial performer received a whopping 13 Video Music Award nominations. Should she win the entire 13, the reward for gamblers will be €4 for every €1 bet or €40 for every €10 bet.
The 13 nominations is the most ever for a single year VMA show.
"I'm so honored for all the little monsters and self-professed freaks of the universe, to have more VMA nominations in a single year than any artist in MTV history," Gaga says in a statement from MTV. "Ironically, I'm even more proud it's an unlucky number: 13.
"God put me on Earth for three reasons: To make loud music, gay videos and cause a damn ruckus. Thank you, MTV!"
The 27th annual MTV Video Music Awards will be broadcast live from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles on Sunday, September 12, at 9 p.m. ET.
