Don’t pull the Kleenex tissues out just yet.  While poker phenom Phil Ivey may have lost $786,935 over the weekend, his overall profits for the month of August were already around $3.3 million.

From OnlinePoker.net:

During his two days of high stakes action, Ivey played a total of 2,832 hand at either $200/$400 Cap PLO Six-Max or Heads-up and $500/$1,000 Cap NLHE, at the end of which he saw his poker profits halved for the month.

Despite his massive loss, Ivey is still lying in second place on this year’s money board with $2,548,803 in profits, but with jungleman12 closing in fast in third spot and $2,535,924,00.

Another big name online poker player, Tom Durrrr Dwan, managed to score $483,809 in winnings, the most of any other individual on the Web.

Both Ivey and Durrrr play at Full Tilt Poker.
