Frank Doyle of Sports Interaction is back with his 2008 Week 4 free NFL picks including information related to betting trends at Canada's first online sports book.

My name is Frank Doyle and I am a convert to the church of Mike Martz.

As a head coach, I don't think Martz ever recovered from the Rams getting popped by New England in Super Bowl XXXVI. It made him tentative, and once you start second guessing yourself in football, as in life, you're lost.

But as an offensive co-ordinator and quarterback alchemist Mike Martz is solid gold. Nobody rated Kurt Warner prior to Martz. Marc Bulger was a sixth round pick who'd been with the Saints and Falcons before he took over from Jamie Martin at St Louis, and Martz sent Bulger to the Pro Bowl. Jon Kitna had his first 4000 yard season slinging them for Martz in Detroit. And now, in his first three games at San Francisco, Martz has JT O'Sullivan playing quarterback like John L Sullivan used to box.

Of course, Drew Brees is no goat either, but the Saints can't defend for nuts. San Francisco to cover +6 with Sports Interaction.

Even though the teams aren't really of the first water, we're seeing a lot of early action on Cleveland at Cincinnati. The weight of that action is going south to Cincy though - the Bengals showed a lot of heart at the Meadowlands last Sunday for a team whose heart had been questioned in the offseason, while the Browns look like delivering more gloom and misery to the miserable citizens who live along banks of the Ohio. Also, the Bengals have a veteran pro bowl quarterback under center and the Browns, quite frankly, don't. Cincinnati -3.5 with Sports Interaction is the pick.

Finally, a reminder that it's always good to remember that there's more to football betting than the triple crown of spread, moneyline and total. Sports Interaction currently offers a market that allows bets on team totals, rather than game totals. Sports Interaction has laid Denver at 29 points against Kansas City at Arrowhead, and if Denver keeps scoring the way it has been, the Broncos will beat the team scoring record for the season that New England set last year/ This makes betting Denver to score more than 29 points on Sunday at Arrowhead against the Chiefs our third and final good pick of the week.
