Following their convincing 33-30 win over the Virginia Tech Hokies on Monday night, the Boise State Broncos football team is thinking 2011 BCS Championship…and so too are the online sportsbooks.  Boise State covered a spread where it had at one time been favored by -2 ½ points.  Some books closed with Virginia Tech a small favorite.

Sportsbook.com has just released updated odds on the title game and Boise State comes in with a 4/1 chance.  The payout would be $400 for every $100 bet or $40 for every $10 bet.

College Football rankings are to be released today and it will be interesting to see where Boise State ends up.

That top-five ranking doesn't look so strange now.

"We're certainly proving people right right now," Kelln Moore of Boise State said following the game.

Kellen Moore's 13-yard TD pass to Austin Pettis with 1:09 remaining gave Boise State its 15th straight win.

Boise State knelt on the ball and now faces a schedule in which it will likely be favored, usually heavily favored, the rest of the season.

"We're heading off to Wyoming, and it's going to be the biggest game at Wyoming ever," Moore said. "That's the way it goes, and that's the way we like it. We like to be everyone's biggest game."

The only currently ranked team the Broncos football team faces this season is two weeks from now, Oregon State (ranked number 25).
