With almost all the money going Auburn’s way Thursday night and past history suggesting their opponent does not stand a chance, the Mississippi State Bulldogs football team have reason to be hopeful.

Johnny Detroit of Pregame.com is predicting a Bulldogs win.

“Mississippi St. had one of the most dominating performances in Week 1 of the season, as they dismantled Memphis 49-7 Straight Up,” he says. “Freshman QB Tyler Russell played most of the season opener, and he opened up many eyes within the program. Russell threw for 256 YDS while completing 13 of his 16 passing attempts for 4 TD's. Defensively, the Bulldogs held Memphis to 41 rushing YDS in their season opener. With this being the league opener for both teams, it's vital that the Mississippi St. takes advantage of their home crowd on a weeknight game.”

This Mississippi State Bulldogs squad will also have revenge on its mind, having lost 24-49 away from home last year.

“Despite the exciting games, the Bulldogs have lost the past 4 games with Auburn played at home,” Detroit acknowledges.

The online bookies seem confident about getting the money on Auburn as a -1 favorite at BetUS.com, the lowest line Gambling911.com could find.

With nearly all the money flowing on the Tigers, why are the oddsmakers so intent on allowing such a lopsided affair we must ask ourselves.

Pregame.com projects the final score to be 31-27 in favor of the Mississippi St. Bulldogs. The Bulldogs +2 is the Side of the Day!
