Florida State vs. Oklahoma Week 2 College Football odds had Oklahoma as a -6 ½ point favorite at SBG Global.  This one opened at -8 ½.

It was the underdog Florida State getting most of the action at a 70 percent clip.  The oddsmakers have been trying to get money on Oklahoma, which suggests worries over Florida State covering.

Some important Florida State vs. Oklahoma Week 2 College Football odds trends to consider before betting on this game include:

The Seminoles are 2-5 ATS vs. a team with a winning record

The Seminoles are 7-21-1 ATS in their last 29 games following a SU win of more than 20 points.

The Seminoles are 5-13 ATS in their last 18 games after allowing less than 20 points in their previous game.

The Sooners are 16-5 ATS in their last 21 games after accumulating more than 200 yards rushing in their previous game.

The Sooners are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 non-conference games.

Scouts Inc. says of this matchup:

Quarterback Christian Ponder has the talent, experience and mental toughness to go into Norman and lead the Seminoles to an upset win, but look for the Sooners to hold on in what should be a close game. Although defensive coordinator Mark Stoops will be part of the cure for Florida State's defensive woes, it takes longer than one game to fix a run defense that ranked near the bottom of the FBS last year. With that in mind, Oklahoma will establish an effective running game with RB DeMarco Murray continuing to shoulder the bulk of the offensive load. Jones will benefit from the ground game's keeping the Seminoles off balance and from any insight head coach Bob Stoops can provide on his younger brother's schemes and tendencies. In addition, expect a better overall effort from an Oklahoma team that won't overlook Florida State like it might have done with Utah State in the opener.

Scouts Inc. has Oklahoma State by 4 points though, and therefore failing to cover.  That, Gambling911.com believes, is probably a good bet.
