Online Poker Traffic Up Another 1.7 Percent This Week

Online poker traffic rose another 1.7 percent this week following strong gains post-Labor Day weekend in the United States.  This represents the 4th straight weekly rise according to PokerScout.com, a website that monitors “real cash” traffic.  PokerStars, which dealt its 50 billionth hand this week, helped power the rise while six of them top 10 online poker sites realized declines in traffic.  PokerStars saw a 9 percent jump in traffic over last week.

PokerStars.it and PeoplesNetwork.it moved up to sixth and seventh place in the worldwide traffic rankings this week.  The Italian online poker sites account for 7 percent of the worldwide traffic.
