BetRankings.com has released its Top 25 Global Sports Book rankings for the week of Sep. 24, 2010, which looks at traffic among the top 20 European online sports betting websites.

William Hill (#3), Ladbrokes (#5), PaddyPower (#8) and Bet-at-Home (#9) were the sites with upward trending in the Top 10, while Bwin (#4), Betclic (#6) and Unibet (#8) all fell in week-over-week unique visitors.

Only a slim majority of the Global Top 25 sports betting sites finished the week with upward trends in unique visitor traffic, with a 13-12 split. Betfair (#1) held it’s firm but narrowing lead over Bet365 (#2) atop the rankings.

Further down the Global Top 25 ranking, Betway (#13) traded places with SBObet (#14), and IBCbet tumbled to #24, while MyBet (#22) and Interwetten (#23) moved up.

Downward week-over-week traffic trends were the norm for the bottom half of the Global Top 25, which begs the question of whether the top sites are siphoning off players as the calendar moves deeper into the European club football season.
