The Nuggets opened as a -1 favorite in New York and that line moved up to -2, providing value to those betting the Knicks.

Opening Line Trend

The Knicks should be favored here based on our calculations.  We get a number of Knicks 1.42.  Also keep in mind that the Nuggets are concluding their grueling road trip where they've gone 3-1, losing to Philadelphia.

Recent Head to Head

The Knicks won the last two meetings though Denver dominated the prior head-to-heads.

Recent Performance

Both teams are playing quite well of late.  Denver is 5-1 in their last six.  New York has won eight of their last ten and are playing some of their best basketball in decades.

The Knicks turnovers could be an issue here.

Additionally, Isaiah Hartenstein is out for this one but other players have stepped up in his absence.

Tim Botemps of ESPN writes:

"Thanks to a last-second win over the Nets on Tuesday, the Knicks improved to 10-2 in January, which coincides with OG Anunoby's Knicks debut. New York has the NBA's second-best defense and its second-best net rating over that span. Anunoby, since joining the Knicks, is shooting 52.3% and averaging 14.9 points -- both numbers that can only improve as he settles in with his new team."
