Friedrich is a German bobsledder who has been active since 2006. He won gold at the 2011 FIBT World Championships in Königssee in the mixed team event.
Kripps is a Canadian bobsledder who has competed since 2006. He won his first Bobsleigh World Cup race in the men's four bob at the meeting in Cortina d'Ampezzo, Italy, January 2008 alongside Pierre Lueders, Ken Kotyk and David Bissett.
Nico Walther, Johannes Lochner and Chris Spring would each pay between $50 and $80 for every $10 bet with a gold medal win.
