Olympics host country Great Britain has a shot at taking home the gold in Men’s Four Rowing.  Great Britain was coming in as the 4/6 favorite but with Australia a very close 5/4.  Greece had the next shortest odds at 14/1.  All betting odds available at Bookmaker.eu, which was offering up to US$500 in FREE CASH for qualified customers here

Britain, which has won this event at the last three games and is also the world champion, clocked 5:50.27 to win the second heat.  The once dominant Great Britain team now has competition with a dramatically improved Australian team.

"You can argue they are favorites at the moment," Britain's Tom James said. "They've won the last race between us (at the World Cup regatta in Munich), so they are a good prospect for getting a gold medal.

"But when you are racing good people and with a proven record, if you beat them, that's what you want to do."
