Gambling911.com has your odds to win the gold medal in Women’s Golf at this summer’s Olympics in Rio.
Lydia Ko of New Zealand was the odds on favorite at 2-1. This should be of little surprise as Ko currently ranks number one in the world among women golfers.
The 19-year-old, who has amassed career earnings of more than $10 million, says it is difficult hearing people doubt her loyalty to New Zealand, having been born in South Korea.
"I never thought about [switching allegiances]. I've represented New Zealand at the world amateur championships and a lot of amateur events overseas, so it was a little tough for me to hear the doubts," Ko told She's Got Game.
"That seems to have settled down now and hopefully everyone can trust now that me and my team are [committed to New Zealand].
Ariya Jutanugarn of Thailand had the second shortest odds at +550 for a payout potential of $55 on every $10 bet.
She is the first golfer, male or female, from Thailand to win a major championship.
Jutanugarn is coming off a big win at the Women’s British Open two weeks ago.
“I think I know how to play under pressure,” Jutanugarn, 20, said while leading that event.
“If she keeps playing like she keeps playing, she’s going to be tough to catch,” said Scotland’s Catriona Matthew, 46, the oldest female professional golfer. “But go out tomorrow and try to make as many birdies as I can.”
