Oscar Pistorius Odds to Win Olympic Men’s 400m at 100 to 1 After Amazing Feat

He may be a huge long shot to win the Men’s 400m but there is little doubt everybody, including sports bettors, will be rooting for South Africa’s Oscar Pistorius to win this big event.  Paddy Power was one of the bookmakers offering odds on Pistorius to win the 400m at 100/1.

Pistorius made history Saturday as the first amputee to compete in track at the Olympics. 

"I've worked for six years ... to get my chance," said the South African, who finished second and advanced to Sunday night's semifinals. "I found myself smiling in the starting block. Which is very rare in the 400 meters."

Pistorius, a double-amputee who runs on carbon-fiber blades, remains a huge long shot to win the 400m.  Kirani James of Grenada is the odds-on favorite at 6/5. 

Bookmaker was offering betting odds on Sunday’s Olympic Men’s Athletics here, with qualified customers receiving up to US$500 in FREE BETS.
