What Are The Odds to Win - Men's 200m Backstroke - Swimming - Summer Olympics
Pretty much two favorites have emerged to win the Men's 200m Backstroke in Swimming.
Ryan Murphy (USA) pays $140 for every $100 bet to win gold in this event while Hubert Kos (HUN) pays $165.
Murphy is a four-time Olympic gold medalist and the former world-record holder in the men's 100-meter backstroke, who was favored to win that event at the Paris Olympics, also tightly contested. He would go on to win bronze Monday night.
Murphy did achieve something even more significant, becoming just the second man in history to win three career medals in the event,
At the 2020 Summer Olympics, Murphy won a gold medal and set the world record in the 4x100-meter medley relay with Michael Andrew, Caeleb Dressel, and Zach Apple, in addition to a silver medal in the 200-meter backstroke and bronze medal in the 100-meter backstroke.
Murphy first started winning gold medals in the 2016 Summer Olympics.
“In 2016, I was just wide-eyed,” he said last month at Cal. “I just went into the Olympics, and I really had no idea what to expect. I think the naivete was pretty good for me. I was just able to follow the leaders we had on the team and just kind of go in there with no pressure. It allowed me to just focus in racing.”

Kos of Hungary is a world junior record holder in the 200 metre individual medley. At the 2021 European Short Course Championships, he won the bronze medal in the 400 metre individual medley. At the 2022 European Aquatics Championships, he won the gold medal in the 200 metre individual medley. In 2023, he won the bronze medal in the 200 yard backstroke at the year's men's NCAA Division I Swimming and Diving Championships
