John Wright of Affiliate Bi writes:

"I had Noelle Spagna from The Motley Fool on the Affiliate BI podcast to talk about finance affiliates.

"What I came away with are some best practices that a company as big as The Motley Fool, does for optimization of their business in every aspect.

"I think every affiliate and affiliate program can learn from this company as they are both an affiliate as well as having their own affiliate program.

"I did ask since SEO content affiliate sites seem to be fading, where are they gaining more affiliates and users from?"

"The biggest thing for us," Spagna says "is looking at the likes and value of the consumers that we are bringing in, what's their customer journey, the path here.  What channels are bringing them in versus which one's are closing and how those channels work together and intersect and then also how the customers that are staying with us and upselling long term, what makes them different from the one that only sticks around for a year or two."
