Russian poker pro Liliya ‘liay5’ Novikova died after what appears to have been a slip in her bathtub.

A neighbour accessed her apartment after Liliya's parents became concerned. He found her lying in the bath unconscious and immediately called medics. 

Liliya was just 26 years old and about to celebrate her 27th birthday this weekend. 

The engineeering graduate of Moscow State Technical University had amassed $100,000 playing poker in live cash tournaments.  She was also well known in the eSports community.
