Alex Jacob, winner of the 2006 US Poker Championship and its $878,500 cash prize, stopped playing poker after a 2012 World Series appearance.

He resurfaced last week on the popular U.S. game show “Jeopardy!” winning a cool $48,000 heading into Tuesday.

On Tuesday, Jacob went up another $36,000.

Prior to leaving the world of poker, Jacob had won $2.6 million in total live tournament winnings.

He graduated in May 2006 from Yale University with a degree in Economics and Mathematics.  Since leaving poker, Jacob became a commodities trader.
