Last year’s winner of the Punta Cana Poker Classic, Peter North, won’t be challenging as he was knocked out prior to the top 50 cashes.  Last year’s second place winner, Phil Nagy, representing America’s Card Room, did manage to cash but failed to make the final 27 just after Midnight Thursday.  Bubble Boy Jose Luis Ruiz pictured.

Also ousted among the top 50 was David Hurrieta from Ecuador, who entered as part of a 25 cent qualifier offered by BetCRIS.com.

Female Cuban player Jessica Perez was still among the top 27 though her chip count was low.

Your top three remaining players were:

1.    Demo Kiriopoulos comes to us from Canada.  Amazingly he entered the day with a mere 22,000 chips and now is the chip leader coming into Friday’s play.

2.    Neal Thorton – He has been up all day Thursday.

3.    Jose De La Guerrero – Panamanian professional poker player who won the Sunday Million.
