San Jose, Costa Rica – The Rio might want to reconsider renaming their All-American Bar and Grille to Americas Cardroom Bar and Grille. Americas Cardroom today announced that 35 online poker players have won $12,500 packages through WSOP satellites online.
"Expect to see a lot of Americas Cardroom patches on the floor of the Rio during the Main Event," stated Americas Cardroom spokesperson Michael Harris. "A total of 35 players have already secured packages and we can't wait to see them own the felt in Las Vegas. With several more guaranteed packages on the line over the next few weeks, we look forward to welcoming dozens more from July 5th through 14th in Las Vegas."
Americas Cardroom is the only US-facing online poker site that's sending players to compete in the world's richest poker tournament. This should come as no surprise given Americas Cardroom's commitment to bringing back poker in America. The US-themed site recently introduced a $1 million guaranteed tournament, the first of its kind for US poker players in nearly four years.
The US-facing online poker site has committed to awarding a minimum of 50 World Series of Poker packages this year. So far, 35 players have won seats through the $55 Beast and Sit & Crush satellite, which runs every Sunday night.
Each package includes the $10,000 Main Event buy-in and $2,500 for travel and accommodations. The package is awarded as cash to a poker player's account and can be immediately withdrawn using a variety of payment methods, including Bitcoin.
To help even more players win a $12,500 package, Americas Cardroom has added a new satellite to the tournament schedule. The 2-package guarantee runs every Wednesday at 6:00pm ET and costs $109 to get into. Rebuys and add-ons are also available.
World Series of Jackpots
The online poker site is also increasing the weekly Beast and Sit & Crush satellites to a 3-package guarantee, up from the original two seats. Players interested in fast-tracking their way to Las Vegas can enter a World Series of Jackpot game and play for the chance to win a package in under 7 minutes.
