Another Sunday winner has been crowned in Americas Cardroom’s $5 Million Guaranteed promotion.
Tournament play wrapped up early Monday morning in Sunday's $500,000 GTD MDS Main Event with a final table deal struck between two strong online poker players. The next installment of Americas Cardroom’s $5 Million Guaranteed promo gets underway at 5pm ET on Sunday, October 25th.
“Congratulations to bocha12 and Ottermilch on their final deal, which saw bocha12 earn $86,750 and Ottermilch $68,000,” stated Americas Cardroom spokesperson Michael Harris. “It was a long tournament with play wrapping up early Monday morning, but it proved to be one of the most successful and action-packed Sunday tournaments yet. We look forward to hosting another one this Sunday.”
The $500,000 Guarantee is part of Americas Cardroom’s $5 Million Guaranteed promotion, which will see a total of $5 Million in guaranteed prize money spread out on the table through November 8th, all via Sunday Main Events.
In last Sunday's event, a total of 1,931 entries boosted the player contribution to $482,750, resulting in an overlay of $17,250. As anticipated, the smaller entry fee of $250+20 proved to attract more players and more re-entries than the previous $500+40 buy-in.
The $500,000 Guarantee saw 306 players walk away with cash, with 63 earning more than $1,000 and seven players cashing in for more than $10,000 apiece.
The tournament was just one small part of a successful Sunday at Americas Cardroom. The Sunday Special saw a final prize pool grow to $130,600 and the $10k Guarantee for smaller stakes players grew to $11,250.
