Alex ‘Kanu7’ Millar Leads #PCA2015 Main Event End of Day 1A

Alex “Kanu7” Millar is leading the 139 players left at the end of Day 1a of the #PCA2015 $10k Main Event. The Team PokerStars Pro Online member has 169,100. Best known for his heads-up skills, Alex’s position in poker’s upper tier comes from countless winning sessions. He has worked his way to the highest online limits from the ground up: freerolls and low buy-in tournaments.

There were 220 players today including Millar’s fellow Team Onliners Roy Bhasin, Naoya Kihara, Marc-Andre Ladouceur and Isaac Haxton, Team PokerStars SportStar Fatima Moreira De Melo plus Team PokerStars Pros George Danzer, Leo Margets, Chris Moneymaker and Vanessa Selbst - all got through to Day 2. There were also several players who qualified just a handful of $$ - Canadian Ian Modder won his trip for just $24 and returns for Day 2 with 26,700. Last year's champion Dominik Panka is also through with 42,200.

Overall more than 330 players have qualified for this year's event.

There are now 42 players left in the debut $3k LAPT Bahamas Main Event and it’s American player Kyle Frey in the lead with over 1.2m. Italian pro Mustapha Kanit is still thriving with 686,000, while overnight chip leader Mukul Pahuja has 350k. Also still in contention for the $367,928 first prize are British player Ben Heath, 2011 PCA champion Galen Hall, PCA High Roller champion Alex Bilokur, Paul Volpe, Robert Mizrachi, Jussi Nevanlinna, Aaron Massey, Jonathan Karamalikis, EPT Prague winner Martin Finger, Tom Hall, 2012 PCA champion Dimitar Danchev, Taylor Paur and Victor Vegara.

A total of 183 players started Day 2 today from the 532 who entered. Overall there were 736 entries for the first LAPT Main Event to be held at the PCA, generating a $1,945,248 prize pool. 111 places are being paid.
