Americas Card Room Presents the Online Super Series II With $1 Million Guaranteed

If there was ever any doubt that Americas Cardroom is serious about pleasing tournament players, today's announcement should put those doubts to rest. Just a year after holding its first Online Super Series that featured $150,000 in guaranteed prize money, Americas Cardroom today confirmed that the US-facing online poker site is holding its sophomore OSS from January 13th through 27th, 2013.

The guaranteed prize pool surpasses the $1,000,000 mark—more than six times what was featured in the inaugural series. The 2-week series will feature a $200,000 final event on Sunday January 27th, 2013 and dozens of other events with prize pools ranging from tens of thousands to $150,000 per event.

"We're becoming a serious destination for tournament players in the US and our upcoming OSS is built just for them," stated Americas Cardroom spokesperson Michael Harris. "The details of the series will be announced soon, but I can tell you that the series will take place over two incredible weeks and feature nonstop poker action for all types of online poker players."

The 2013 OSS will feature more than 80 events spread out over two weeks. The series will culminate in a $200,000 guaranteed tournament, with $75k, $100k, and $150k tournaments thrown into the mix, too.

The OSS will also include leaderboard competitions with extra prizes on the line for the top performers in the series.

While the $1 million guarantee is impressive, industry experts predict that the actual total prize pools of the series will easily eclipse the $1 million mark.

Americas Cardroom is boasting impressive numbers on PokerScout.com, thanks in large part to the sudden expansion of its network last week. On December 3rd, Black Chip Poker moved over to Americas Cardroom's network, the Winning Poker Network. The move saw the network's tournament player base expand significantly.
