Americas Cardroom announced today they will be hosting a new monthly progressive points race for Sit & Go players starting December 1st. The new promotion will reward players cash prizes and tournament entries based upon volume of Sit & Goes. The US-friendly site will be redistributing tournament fees to fuel a monthly leaderboard. Americas Cardroom introduced their first progressive points race in 2012 called "The Beast".

"We created the world's first monthly progressive race for cash game players and now we are creating the world's first progressive race for sit & go players. Even though both promotions have a progressive component they are both very different from one another", stated Michael Harris, spokesperson for Americas Cardroom.

The new Sit & Go Progressive Race will use a portion of all the marked Sit & Go fees to fuel its jackpot, which will then award cash prizes and tournament entries to the players that rank in the leaderboard. In other words, it has absolutely no extra cost to the player.

For example, in a $10 + $1 Sit 'n Go or On-Demand tournament, $0.75 of the $1 fee will go to the house and $0.25 will go to the Sit & Go progressive jackpot. At the same time, players will earn points by playing at these special Sit & Go tournaments. At the end of each month, players who rank on the leaderboard will get rewarded with cash and tournament seats.

This new concept will have Sit & Go players grinding like mad with a series of incentives that will also get added to the mix. Players that register first in On-Demand Sit & Go tournaments will be able to get as much as 4x the amount of points. For example, if an On-Demand Sit & Go requires 18 players to kick off, the first 18 players to take a seat will collect 4x points. Once the tournament starts, players that register in late registration will collect 2x points. Regular Sit & Goes will award standard points at 5 points for every $1 contribution.

"This new progressive race has not yet been named but our goal is to involve our players in this process and create the type of incentives that will make playing somewhere else seem like a horrible call. We expect the first month to exceed $60,000 in prizes", continued Harris.

The US-Friendly site is running a Facebook Contest that awards the top 18 contestants with an entry into a $5,000 Sit & Go tournament. To participate, players have to like the Americas Cardroom page, submit a name suggestion for the Sit & Go Progressive Race and share with their friends to get the most likes.

More details on the new promotion will be available soon at AmericasCardroom.eu
